Shame - as I'm looking for EU projects to crunch while WCG is down and then who knows...

Development of a Windows/Boinc isn't necessary for the project. Developing a higher project feeder might be a priority or they may be happy with the processing rate they have, or they may not have the staff to do anymore. As I said there's very little information flowing from the staff to this bulletin board.

Unfortunately is very difficult to use VirtualBox for this project at the same time with my Boinc on Windows (for project that have Windows wus).

The current server page shows 7000 ready to send, and 1925 in progress. It takes < 3 hours to complete a task, so they can complete the backlog in 1/2 a day ish.

Now there are over 60k wus ready to send and 800 in progress.
So, yes, a Windows app is necessary

Try using WSL in Windows, essentially it does the same thing but is MUCH easier

I know WSL, but i would prefer a native app for Windows.
(Boinc admins are working on supporting natively Docker also for this reason)

P.S. I opened this thread almost 4 ys ago. I'm skeptic about windows app...

I know about the need for applications under Windows ...
Unfortunately (or not) I have never worked under Windows and I don't know how to compile codes with mixed Fortran and C libraries.
But when the situation with Gaia 5 stabilizes, I will ask a colleague for help in creating such a version ...
