To be honest, I didn't look that close. I was noticing that tasks that usually run in about 15 minutes were taking close to 30 minutes. Then I noticed that there tasks with gaia in the name (didn't pay attention to upper or lower case) that were using about 50% of the processors. They are gone now and everything has returned to normal processing times. Next time, I pay closer attention. However, whether it was the wrapper or the main task, it was still using CPU resources to the detriment of other processes. |

I don't know why @zupa decided to change the values of the template again back to what was broken at the onset of the project return. The previous 39,560 GFLOPS speed was working just fine. Now tasks are back to erroring out with time exceeded limit errors. |

I didn't change any parameters. The BOINC system changes automatically :( I only add new jobs .... |

It could be some older work showing up... I have recently been getting 5_5xxxx work but also some 5_3xxxx resends mixed in at times. |

I also see gaia tasks continuing to run after suspend, top (linux) shows them taking cpu. Paul. |

It could be some older work showing up... I have recently been getting 5_5xxxx work but also some 5_3xxxx resends mixed in at times. I could have sworn they were new _0 tasks and not resends. The app speed is still too fast for this host. Old tasks also appear, of course, but new ones with changed values also appeared. I checked the database and the system assigned different values despite my settings. I corrected the database and duplicated my limit settings in other parts of the system |

I also see gaia tasks continuing to run after suspend, top (linux) shows them taking cpu. I doubled checked and the processes using the CPU all begin with the small 'g'. Previously, I suspended some tasks to clear out some old work and that's when I noticed the elongated run times. Overnight, the BOINC client suspended some Gaia tasks because other tasks were getting close to the deadline and Gaia is now sitting in the "waiting to run" state. However, the processes don't stop running. If one runs multiple projects concurrently this will potentially cause problems as other tasks miss deadlines. I'm going to try and "clean up the mess" and then run Gaia exclusively. This non-suspend problem really should be looked at when possible but until that time contributors need to be aware of potential issues |

Still cannot prevent one slow host from erroring out all its tasks. Going to NNT for now. |

That’s my issue, too, Keith. |

Dropping back to 3600 GFLOPS does not change much other than run time from around an hour before exceeded time limit error it is now 12 minutes 47 seconds. All still failing unfortunately Conan |

All mine are now validating OK on slow old 4 core. Paul. |

Maybe one needs an old ans slow machine to succeed :D |

I still can not get one slow host to successfully run the Gaia_5 tasks, even with this new 8560 GFLOPS size value. |

I still can not get one slow host to successfully run the Gaia_5 tasks, even with this new 8560 GFLOPS size value. My older i5 computer just got it's first success with that 8560 GFLOPS setting, it had failed hundreds with the last batch. Has over 3 hour run time so waiting for more to finish Conan EDIT:: 2 more just validated with the same run time. |

My one troublesome host has now been able to correctly finish and report these new 8560 GFLOPS tasks. Hoping we are finally in the stable part of the learning curve for the project. |
